Now, this religion has no traditional gods, no deities. A deity, at least one that is
not real and only exists in people's minds, with no actual existence anywhere in the
“real” universe (as with all magical creatures and forces that aren't real), is merely
a thought-form, a deity shaped mind picture that symbolizes something you have
no personal knowledge of, but believe to be real on faith invested in the
“revelation” of a prophet's semantic testimony (who may even be yourself).
Now, of the thousand plus deities and systems of polytheistic and henotheistic
deities that are or were believed to be real it may not be impossible, with all the
obscure religions out there, that a few can actually coexist without utterly
contradicting each other, but it certainly does seem impossible to tell (if we assume
that they are not all hoaxes) which one or two is true, and which thousand or so
are made up or otherwise irrevocably different from the true story. In lieu of the
common deity we honor the Primal Force.
We don't glorify something that we think exists, would like to exist, or even
something that we “know” exists, we praise something that according to the most
basic logic must exist.
We believe in honoring the Ultimate Creator(s) and/or Balancer/Sustainer(s) of
our Universe, and thus of our lives. For lack of knowledge we honor Him through
the “proxy deity”, the Primal Force, which is a symbol that represents our true, and
unfortunately unknown Creator(s), or perhaps in the case of a mindless infinite
universe, the sustaining and balancing force or forces that keeps us going and
fights off complete entropy. The Primal is (or was) the Force of Creation.
The Primal = the Force responsible for my world's existence.
We do not claim to possess secret knowledge pertaining to the perfection, power,
intelligence, benevolence/malignance, size, color, fashion sense, or any other
such quality that the Primal may or may not possess, as I feel it would be quite
foolish to believe that one really knew such things as real objective fact. In
reference to our creator, we possess the same simple worldly data that any human
can have ready access to, if they but look; we are here, we know that something of
some nature caused us and our world to exist, we don't truly know what it was or
how it happened or if time's just been going on forever-ever.
Although I frequently refer to the Primal Father as a singular male entity, this is
not any kind of monotheistic or henotheistic patriarchal religion. It is simply a
practicality, as we have no idea of the number of beings or forces responsible for
our Universe and life on Earth, or if some have died or left, or anything. We also
don't believe that the Primal is male, or even that the Forces of Creation possess
the quality of gender, especially considering that gender seems limited to
creatures that reproduce sexually, such as plants and animals, unless gods
possess DNA, not to mention sperm, eggs, and/or pollen.
It would be nice to know all these things, I suppose, to aid us in choice of
worship rituals, diet, ethics and whatnot, as a way of honoring and understanding
our Creator, but we simply don't know, and there doesn't seem to be any way to
find out, hence the Primal Father represents all True Gods and Forces
responsible for us being here today, whether there be one or many.
